STANDARD CULTURE LIMITATION
In standard cultures, cardiomyocytes derived from pluripotent stem cells have random shapes, are not organized thus showing immature properties.
CELL DIFFERENTIATION ASSAY
Cardiomyocytes differentiate in substartes with topographical cues, as grooved surfaces, show natural alignment and nuclear elongation.
EXAMPLE
Difference of cell and nuclear elongation in cloned cardiac stem cells on microgrooved substrate versus common flat assays.
